I am quite embarassed that this blog has gone without an update for 4 years. That is not to say however, that the roots of Salmat Qaqqadi have been forgotten.
I wanted to update all who contributed to my fundraiser back in 2008:
In 2009 my good friend and I put up a show called "Matt & Ben" in Chicago. It was such a great learning experience and a lot of fun.
In 2010 I was able to take class with some of the most talented actors in Chicago at Black Box, and it seriously changed the way I viewed theatre. I am so thankful for those classes, and for the AMAZING people that I grew to know there.
Later that year I made the move back to my roots in The Kootenays, and although I miss some things about city life, I am over the moon to be back in the mountains. I have been teaching some dance and theatre classes through Steps Dance Centre since then and love being able to share my art with the youth in my community.

Last September I became the proud mama of a darling boy, and he is my biggest blessing. Life is so full!
Recently I have decided that some of the money that was raised back in 2008 will be going towards term scholarships for deserving kids! I will update you when I have chosen this year's scholarship award winner(s)!
Thank you to all of you who have supported me over the years. This dream of mine will slowly come to fruition on it's own time.
